Hilarious moment David Warner Indian airport cricket fans selfies with Aussie star Border-Gavaskar

Aussie cricket star David Warner has been hilariously mobbed at Bengaluru airport, as locals queued up to pose for hundreds of photos with the popular opener.

Warner has attracted a legion of fans over the years while playing in the Indian Premier League with SunRisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals, and droves of locals flocked for a photo when he was spotted travelling from Nagpur from Bengaluru on Monday.

Usman Khawaja shared the video of his fellow opener politely responding to a seemingly never ending amount of photo requests.

Khawaja can be heard laughing behind the camera as he captured the drama at the airport while Warner smiled helplessly.

Khawaja added text to the video clip, saying 'Never ends', 'Every man for himself' and 'Oh boy'.

Australia will begin their bid to become Test cricket's undisputed No.1 team in the same city they last secured the Border-Gavaskar trophy in India.

Pat Cummins' team will attempt to make history and end India's 11-year unbeaten streak in Test series' at home.

Australia already have the No.1 ranking but if they were to salute in India for the first time since 2004 it would elevate the team's status to greatness.

The first Test gets underway on Thursday at Nagpur's VCA Stadium, about 25 minutes away from the former Test ground in the city where an Adam Gilchrist-led team won 19 years ago to wrap up the series.

Australia dominated cricket from the mid-1990s to 2007, twice winning a record 16 Tests in a row and claiming three-straight ODI world cups.

The Test has already erupted controversy after a journalist captured photos of ground staff in Nagpur seemingly doctoring the pitch.

The photos show the crew have been watering and rolling the centre of the wicket and the area outside the off-stump for right-handers, but leaving the other areas of the track to bake in the sun.

Australia's batting line-up is heavy on left handers with David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Travis Head, Alex Carey, Ashton Agar and Matt Renshaw all sure to be affected by the pitch preparation.

However, Indian cricket legend Ravi Shastri has slammed claims the nation is 'cheating' with its preparation of the Nagpur pitch.

'That is bulls**t!' he told SEN’s Sportsday.

'It's more hype than anything else surrounding this first Test match.

'It always happens, you get 15mm grass, 18mm grass or 12mm grass in different places around the ground … at the end of this first Test, I'm sure there'll be someone who scores a hundred.
